The Neat Freaks crew have a few house cleaning tips for busy parents
#1–Shop sales and clearance items at your favorite stores all through the year to stock up on birthday presents, hostess gifts, etc. Whenever you see something great on sale–grab it! That way when the kids have a birthday party to attend or you’re headed to a dinner party, you can grab something from your surplus to give as a gift rather than having to make a special trip to the store for a gift.
#2 —Organize your kitchen drawers and cabinets to make all kitchen chores (cooking, cleaning, dishes, etc.) faster and more efficient. Keep all tools in drawers and cabinets closest to where you’ll use them (knives and cutting boards where you cook, pots, pans, and spatulas next to the stove and oven, dishes, silverware, and cups near the dishwasher).
#3 — Multi-Task while cleaning the kids’ bathroom–While the kids play in the bath, wipe down the counter, sink, and mirror, then spray and wipe down the tub after the kids get out while it’s already wet.
#4 —Multi-Task while cleaning your bathroom–Keep a small scrub brush in the shower and quickly clean the inside of the stall during or at the end of your shower. Wipe down the counter and sink(s) while you wait for your flat iron or curling iron to heat up or while you brush your teeth.
